I read the book but I confess I read it when it came out in 2004 while on holiday in Scotland. I think I will take a pass on tonight if you don't mind. I went last month and it was just me and another woman and we ended up talking about all sorts of other things, which is nice but not exactly the point. I need to skip April due to reading I must do for coursework, but hope to resume in May since I am done on the 12th of that month.

I will be around over the holidays. Beer and sea chanties could be fun, though something in town is probably more practical. I'll see how crazy the end of the year gets. I am busy with work but will be easing up a bit between the 23rd and 2nd. Sorry to hear you're so busy with work, but considering the alternative...I've never done a book group before. Not sure how I would like it. Maybe I'll consider this one. Do you know what the first book is?
