NOTICE TO ALL PERSONS WANTING TO JOIN THIS MEETUP GROUP. BE ADVISED THAT I AM NO LONGER ACCEPTING ANY NEW MEMBERS. OUR CURRENT MEMBERSHIP IS WELL BEYOND WHAT IS REQUIRED TO PLAY IN A MEETUP. SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE OUR MEMBERSHIP MAY OPEN AGAIN, DEPENDING ON PLAYER TURNOVER. IF YOU IGNORE THIS NOTICE AND SIGN UP, YOUR REQUEST FOR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE DECLINED. This is a Fun Group for (2.5-3.5) Level Players. We play by the rules of the game. We keep score and play sets. Doubles is preferred. We play singles when space is available. We organize the games according to player level. You must be an intermediate to advanced player to participate in play. You must be able to serve, hit ground strokes, volleys, and overheads with reasonable accuracy. Our more advanced players can use spin and slice on strokes. This group is not where you learn to play tennis. If you are not physically fit to play for 1 & 1/2+ hours, do not join this group.
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS AN IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT FOR All MEMBERS SIGNING UP TO PLAY AT THEIR FIRST MEETUP. FIRST TIMERS are required to list their tennis experience level in their MEMBER profiles. The experience level ranges for this group are ( 2.5 or 3.0 or 3.5 ) ( use only 3.5+ for all higher levels ). MEMBERS can do a self-rate, using any of the guidelines that are currently available. The level that each MEMBER provides will be used by the Meetup Organizers for organizing play in this Meetup. Playing within their level is in keeping with the Protocol of this Tennis Meetup. MEMBERS rated below 2.5, or beginners do not meet the experience level required. Co-operation of players with the Meetup Organizers is essential. A refusal to co-operate will be cause for removal as a Meetup member. This Meetup is for adult players only.
ALL MEMBERS have a feature available to post their photo. Your Organizers recommend that you use this feature. Your photo helps everyone, and you to remember each other better.
Members playing in a Meetup do so at their own risk.
