Welcome, chess lovers! Ashburn Chess Club is the best place to meet others who love chess and care about improving their skill. It is for all ages and levels, from beginning players to experts. We provide a place for casual chess and for serious, rated tournaments, and offer chess lessons and training camps to help serious students progress. Come, play, and make new friends. We meet twice a week:
Casual chess: Every Tuesday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Wegmans, 45131 Columbia Place, Sterling, VA. We meet on the second floor, in the middle area near the kids' section with the TV. Rated Scholastic tournaments: Every month we conduct USCF rated scholastic tournament from 9 AM to 2 PM at 42876 Truro Parish Drive, Suite 101 (next door to Dunkin' Donuts), Ashburn, VA. Please bring your own chess set and clock, if you have them. Walk-ins are welcome too!
Rated Blitz tournaments: Every month we conduct USCF rated blitz tournament from 2 PM to 4 PM at 42876 Truro Parish Drive, Suite 101 (next door to Dunkin' Donuts), Ashburn, VA. Please bring your own chess set and clock, if you have them. Only on-site registration.
