Slice of Life partners Michele Scheve and Kelly Rowland are putting on another great comedy showcase, and this one will help bring toys to local children in need! Here's the discription from their Facebook even:

"Get in the Christmas Spirit with us by joining Slice of Life Comedy for our first BIG Christmas toy drive called, A Slice of Christmas!

Michele, Kelly, and some special little helpers are going to be visiting local shelters and hospitals to spread the love and magic of Christmas by dropping off gifts to those who are less fortunate.

We are officially accepting donated children's toys (unwrapped) at Grateful Step's Publishing Company & Bookstore in downtown Asheville. You may drop off your donated gift be... tween 10am and 4pm at the front desk anytime during the week.

We will also be accepting donated toys at our next Slice of Life Comedy show on Thursday, Dec. 20th. Bring a toy and get in for free! Show is at 9pm.

Help us warm up the hearts of our local children who are in need. Makes your heart feel right!"

    excellent performance tonight!
too bad nobody was able to make
it other than me & Art.

it's super-cold out and there's talk of snow tomm.
so i do understand if you didn't make it.
getting there and back safely is the main thing.
hope everyone is ok and we can do this again
    soon under better weather.

    Hey fellow stand-up fans!

i'm honored to be your host this evening.
i'm sure (in spite of this "seattle-like" weather!)
tonight's 'Slice of Life' will be fun for all who attend.

please notify us of any "last-minute" rsvp changes
at least 1 hr. prior to event in order to arrange for
    best seating possible.

also, i strongly encourage everyone to bring any
toy(s) that might be lying about. this will of course
be a nice gesture towards the kids; and not to
mention avoiding that pesky $5 cover!

looking forward to seeing you there,

Wow -- big response to this one! It should be a lot of fun.

Thanks again to David Hall, who volunteered to host tonight's Meetup.

The Slice of Life show usually requires a $5 cover, but tonight they're going to be collecting toys in lieu of a cover charge. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
