Asheville Comedy Fans Message Board › Would you like to host Meetups?
First, THANKS for being an Asheville Comedy Fan.
I wanted to take a minute today and ask for your help. I need hosts for the Meetups!
I’ve been trying to post all the Asheville events in our Meetup group, and the system automatically assigns me as host. I was okay with that at first, because I was personally attending most of the Area comedy shows (although I don’t think I’ve been a great host at the events in which I was personally performing). Lately, more and more out-of town bookings have required me to miss a lot of what’s going on in Asheville, so I’d love to have a few names of folks who are willing to host the local events.
If you host a Meetup, great things will happen:
•You’ll see hilarious local and national talent for free! You’ll be comped in to any ticketed or cover-charge show you host.
•You’ll meet new people who also love to laugh!
•You’ll have my undying gratitude!
The requirements to host a Meetup are simple:
1. Decide on a time and place to meet.
2. Look for the folks who’ve RSVP’s yes, and make them feel welcome.
3. Have fun!
If you think you might be interested in hosting some events, please let me know. Once I have a pool of names, I’ll starting asking folks to host specific events. I’ll always ask, of course – I would never just assign someone to a Meetup without checking with him or her first.
