Warren Wilson Wild Card Trail

We'll do a two hour hike along one of Warren Wilson's trail, choosing from among the River Trail, Jones Mountain, Dam Pasture, etc.  Trails are easy to moderate.

Sounds like a great hike! Looks like a motivated group that covers some ground too. I generally stop for a few pics during my hiking and lollygag a little. I do also "run" an occasional trail, although my motivation is usually catching a sunset picture before dark, rather than the physical challenge. However, I'll happily forsake my camera for the morning and see if I can keep up! As long as I'm not the slowest, right?

We did this hike on Monday and it was pretty long, probably over six, almost seven miles. We left the trailhead at 9:20 and returned at 11:45ish. It's very steep at first, so keep this in mind, plus the fact that we walk at a good clip for fitness sake. It's a diverse hike: in woods, through fields, by a creek and river, so it's very pretty. It's just long and pretty demanding. If it rains a lot in mid-week, you may find it helpful to bring a pole/walking stick.
