I've lived in Asheville since 1995. I came here to visit when I was a child and fell in love with the region. These mountains are gently fierce and beautiful; they inspire me. I've been a college professor; now I'm a local business owner.
I feel most myself when I'm walking in the woods and I love sharing this experience with other people. I've met some of the nicest people I know through hiking and look forward to making more new friends.
I love travel, reading, film, music, dogs, tennis, friends, being aware of the world and hopeful. I've two great kids and I love life.
Thanks Carolyn and Sandy for helping me to push myself a bit harder today on the hills. That was a work out!
Good morning Jeanne, I am one of the people coming for the WW walk this morning. I wondered whereabouts in the Ingles parking lot you are meeting - it's pretty big and I am afraid I will miss you if I am at the opposite corner.
I would be glad to help. I am going to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in June and could use the altitude training.
Any plans to do the hike from Black Mountain Campground to the summit of Mt. Mitchell? I'm very interested in that trek. I have had another commitment that has tied me up on MWF mornings, which will soon be over and I'll be able to show up regularly.
That was us sitting right where Ilene said she would be and she had a large name tag hanging around her neck. In the future, just come up where meeting place is set for and introduce yourself- don't be shy. I hope you went into the movie and enjoyed yourself. Hope to meet you at upcoming movies.
Welcome to our meetup page. Hope you can make it to some of our hikes. Maybe I'll see you this weekend.
Hey there Jeanne, Please do come to our gathering this Wednesday.
