There is more joy in giving than receiving. Every little thing we receive in life should be seen as a gift. When we feel gratitude for what is given to us, we should do our best to pay it forward to the next person in whatever ways that are within our means. Life is a constant flow of gifts and gratitude. It is not just about the "Have's" giving to the "Have not's". Everyone has something to give, be it money, time, service, or simply a small act of kindness.

This group is associated with a much wider network under the auspices of www.CharityFocus.org (recently renamed as Service Space) which inspired the creation of the Karma Kitchen, the Karma Clinic Network and the Pay-it-Forward clinics in Asheville and Hendersonville. Our aim is to promote the concept of Pay-it-Forward in the hope that it will become an intrinsic part our day-to-day activities, provide opportunities whereby members can actively participate in the act of giving, to enhance the sense of community and our connection to each and every one, and to be the change we wish to see in the world.

We do not have to wait till disaster strikes or Christmas to give and support each other. We are not lacking in giving and caring people in Asheville. We love to have you as part of the network. As a member, you are not obliged to attend any meetings or events. We will however keep you posted about our group activities and we welcome any suggestions from you. We welcome you all to join and we wish each member will take pride in being a conscious "pay-it-forwarder", and help to make the world a better place one gift at a time.
