Asheville Skeptics' Midweek Meetup

Asheville Skeptics (ASk) is dedicated to promoting the use of scientific skepticism & critical thinking.

Our meetings are for people interested in skeptical inquiry, current events in science, state & church separation, and medicine.  We support critical evaluation of alternative health modalities, conspiracy claims, and pseudoscience in general.

The building is so noisy that I can't hear the conversation.
Pizza for a diabetic is not the best food choice.
I live near Fletcher, so I need to consider transportation costs.
I'll probably cut down on the number of times I attend.

Viva Deli is gone; Oyster House is in the same building. Don't know much about it. Sunny Point is probably a little pricey for us to go to every week. Lucky Otter is probably closest to the situation we have now, with cheap food and an environment where we can probably hang out for three hours without it being a big deal, only with burritos instead of pizza.

Lucky Otter closes at 9, except on Fri and Sat when they close at 10.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
