Quoth the Skeptic

Skepticism has a PR problem. To the uninitiated, it can sound dry, emotionless, and cynical.

This does not have to be.

Literature is replete with thinkers and scientists that have communicated the value of critical thinking using passion, humor, and wit. They've taught the awe and wonder that can be found in the naturalistic worldview, and the humility that is borne from understanding our place in the cosmos.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it:

Dig up your favorite quotations and excerpts that pertain to truth, knowledge, evidence, science, skepticism, or rationality. Instead of our usual rant, each member that wishes to participate will be given a chance to share the quotations and citations of their choosing.

As every proper skeptic knows, it's only an argument from authority when the other guy is doing it!

Hope to see you there!
