Critique Lunch and Learn

Writing lunch break! Active, highly advanced writers providing each other in-depth critiques. Not a first-read format - critiques are prepared prior to their delivery.

Writers to be critiqued will provide electronic files of their work 1 week in advance. This is a peer-driven writing critique group. Writers will provide 2,500 words or less of their short story, novel, memoir, etc. Open to any genre. Critique guidelines will be provided if needed.

NOTE: This event is free although you may choose to purchase food for lunch.

Since I was only able to confirm for this workshop this morning, presumably, because some others have dropped out, I am unable to make a submission by today. This weekend is too stacked up! I also just noticed the $75 charge. I really cannot afford this charge, unfortunately, at this time. Have a good critique, though.

Hi Mirra, Sorry you won't be able to make it. Also, FYI, there is no fee for this event.

HEy Tara! Thanks so much for the heads up about the event this afternoon. Please keep me in the loop as my manuscript has once again, taken a back seat as my life drives on. I'm playing at a fall festival this evening so I need to practice and get ready, but I'd love to come to the next thing you do. Best to you and keep writing. JIll

Hi Jill, The event is next Saturday - submissions were due today. Glad all is going well with you and I'll see you on my future visits to AVL!

To echo everything Mirra Price just said, I can't make this date. My current Work-In-Progress wouldn't be appropriate for this particular setting and the fee was another complication I read about somewhere, though I am interested in hearing about upcoming critiques.

Typically, how often do you hold critique sessions? How many people attend? How many pieces get critiqued? Are there any groups for playwrights (not screenwriters) in Asheville?

I just confirmed for next Saturday. I will try to get something online today, but it may not be until Sunday as I have a workshop today and an event tonight. Is that okay? Who will get these online works? Will everyone attending the critique session get them?

Only those attending will receive a copy of your work. I will need your file by 3pm today in order for you to participate. I will send you a direct message with my email address.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
