Designed and began construction on the golden elephant at www.charlestontinyhouse.com, looking to get back into the tiny scene!
It is, by definition, sustainable.
At minimum i plan to attend events and volunteer, maybe i'll get inspired to design another one.
Community and inspiration.
Architectural design, green design
Hello Margaret and Welcome! I see you have recent building and design experience on a tiny house. I checked out the site and it seems like a great project. I'm hoping you can share it with us... maybe a bit at our next meeting? Hope to see you at our eating meeting! ~Kris
Excellent! I need to mess around with darts more often. I have a reprint of a 60s book on pattern-making and they have exercises on dart manipulation that feature little mini-patterns. You can put them in really odd places. I used to have an old Vogue pattern for pants that featured a back dart that came from the SIDE rather than the waist.
I really enjoyed our time together, too! I'm happy to know your machine will be purring again soon. Check out these websites! They show 'mod' patterns from the lale 60's and the 70's. Some of these styles would look so good today. http://sew.fuzzylizzie.com/buttericky... This site is even more extensive: http://vintagepatterns.wikia.com/wiki... Check out the Kenzo pattern, Butterick 3117. It's the back-wrap jumpsuite pattern I told you about.
Margaret dear... I am on to the lime green flannel project... it is fun... I really hope you make... I liked being your neighbour. Heather
Margaret dear, will you be there on the 22nd for the next sewing party. Hope so. Purchased my "ugly fabric" yesterday... and am doing it. Fondly, Heather
Hey Margaret, I thought I had written to you last night, but must have pushed the wrong button... It was really nice to meet you too dear... and looking forward to the Ugly fabric deal... love Ugly fabrics!
