Why is sustainable living important to you?

Pessimism about the way the natural environment seems to be going. Aghast at what the humans are doing all around us. Fuming at stupidity and negligence.

How involved do you want to be?... Passive member, plan on attending events, volunteering time, and/or hope to build your own home?

Because I live about 90 minutes away, I may not make meetings always, but I will stay interested in what you're doing.

What do you hope to get out of this experience?

Meeting like-minded folks and get more ideas about home creations.

What skills do you have to offer?

I'm planning on attending a Senior Co-Housing seminar soon, and can report on it sometime if there's interest. I have experience in planning/creating homes of my own thru the years, and am willing to share ideas of what works/doesn't work.

After retiring, I've been on a quest to find or create an intentional community of like-minded people for my final years. A lot of passions I've had since I was very young still resonate: architecture, nutrition, interior spaces, environment.

What Betty T. is saying about this Meetup Group

We need an "elevator" definition for the group, especially as Public Events come up where folks won't be into the jargon. It was difficult to briefly explain it to the new member. We all need it for our own social interactions too.
