The food additive MSG (Mono-Sodium Glutamate) is a slow poison.
> MSG hides behind 25 or more names, such as Natural Flavoring.' MSG is

> even in your favorite coffee from Tim Horton's and Starbucks coffee
> shops!
>
> I wondered if there could be an actual chemical causing the massive
> obesity epidemic, and so did a friend of mine, John Erb. He was a
> research assistant at the University of Waterloo in Ontario , Canada ,

> and spent years working for the government. He made an amazing
> discovery while going through scientific journals for a book he was

> writing called 'The Slow Poisoning of America .'
>
> In hundreds of studies around the world, scientists were creating
> obese mice and rats to use in diet or diabetes test studies.
> No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so scientists have to
> create them. They make these creatures morbidly obese by injecting
> them with MSG when they are first born.
>
> The MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates, causing
> rats (and perhaps humans) to become obese. They even have a name for
> the fat rodents they create: 'MSG-Treated Rats.'
>
> When I heard this, I was shocked. I went into my kitchen and checked
> the cupboards and the refrigerator. MSG was in everything -- the
> Campbell 's soups, the Hostess Doritos, the Lays flavored potato
> chips, Top Ramen, Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper, Heinz canned gravy,
>
Swanson frozen prepared meals, and Kraft salad dressings, especially
> the 'healthy low-fat' ones.
>
> The items that didn't have MSG marked on the product label had
> something called 'Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein,'
> which is just another
> name for Monosodium Glutamate.
>
> It was shocking to see just how many of the foods we feed our children

> everyday are filled with this stuff. MSG is hidden under many
> different names in order to fool those who read the ingredient list,
> so that they don't catch on. (Other names for MSG are 'Accent,

> 'Aginomoto,'
> 'Natural Meat Tenderizer,' etc.)
>
> But it didn't stop there.
>
> When our family went out to eat, we started asking at the restaurants
> what menu items contained MSG. Many employees, even the managers,
> swore they didn't use MSG.
>
> But
when we ask for the ingredient list, which they grudgingly
> provided, sure enough, MSG and Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein were
> everywhere.
>
> Burger King, McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, every restaurant --
even
> the sit-down eateries like TGIF, Chili's, Applebee's, and
Denny's --
> use MSG in abundance. Kentucky Fried Chicken seemed to be the WORST
> offender:
> MSG was in every chicken dish, salad dressing. and gravy. No wonder I

> loved to eat that coating on the skin -- their secret spice was MSG!
>
> So why is MSG in so many of the foods we eat? Is it a preservative,
> or a vitamin?
>
> Not according to my friend John Erb. In his book The Slow Poisoning
> of America , he said that MSG is added to food for the addictive
> effect it has on the human body.
>
> Even the propaganda website sponsored by the food manufacturers lobby
> group supporting MSG explains that the reason they add it to food is
> to make people eat more.
>
> A study of the elderly showed that older people eat more of the foods

> that it is added to. The Glutamate Association lobbying group says
> eating more is a benefit to the elderly, but what does it do to the
> rest of us?
>
> 'Betcha can't eat [just] one,' takes on a whole new meaning
where MSG
> is concerned! And we wonder why the nation is overweight!
>
> MSG manufacturers themselves admit that it addicts people to their
> products. It makes people choose their product over others, and makes

> people eat more of it than they would if MSG wasn't added.
>
> Not only is MSG scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is an
> addictive substance. Since its introduction into the American food
>
supply fifty years ago, MSG has been added in larger and larger doses
> to the pre-packaged meals, soups, snacks, and fast foods we are
> tempted to eat everyday.
>
> The FDA has set no limits on how much of it can be added to food.
> They claim it's safe to eat in any amount. But how can they claim
> it's safe when there are hundreds of scientific studies with titles
> like these:
>
> 'The monosodium glutamate (MSG) obese rat as a model for the study of

> exercise in obesity.' Gobatto CA, Mello MA, Souza CT , Ribeiro IA.

> Res Commun Mol Pathol Pharmacol. 2002.
>
> 'Adrenalectomy abolishes the food-induced hypothalamic serotonin
> release in both normal and monosodium glutamate-obese rats.'
> Guimaraes RB, Telles MM, Coelho VB, Mori C, Nascimento CM, Ribeiro.
> Brain Res Bull.

>
> 'Hypothalamic lesion induced by injection of monosodium glutamate in
> suckling period and subsequent development of obesity.' Tanaka K,
> Shimada M, Nakao K Kusunoki. Exp Neurol. 1978 Oct.
>
> No, the date of that last study was not a typo; it was published in
> 1978. Both the 'medical research community' and 'food
manufacturers'
> have known about the side effects of MSG for decades.
>
> Many more of the studies mentioned in John Erb's book link MSG to
> diabetes, migraines and headaches, autism, ADHD, and even
Alzheimer's.

So what can we do to stop the food manufactures from dumping
this

stuff.' But
> this top-level government official refuses to tell the public what he
> knows.
>
> The big media doesn't want to tell the public either, fearing issues
> with their advertisers. It seems that the fallout on the fast food

additive.
>
> But what can I do about it? I'm just one voice!
> What can I do to
> stop the poisoning of our children, while our governments are ensuring

>
> The best way you can help to save yourself and your children from

> With any luck, it will circle the globe before politicians can pass

We have very exciting news! Along with the addition of some new organic super food products (chia seed, goji berries, cacao powder, maca powder, and jungle peanuts), Foods Alive flax oils will soon be available to more stores!

Foods Alive along with Garden Spot distributors will bring our certified organic gourmet golden flax oils to store shelves across the Northeast portion of the United States. States in this area include VA, MD, PA, WV, DC, DE, NJ, RI, CT, NH, MA , NY, and OH. In addition, Garden Spot serves many other customers via UPS or commercial trucking.

If you do not see our products on the shelf, please ask for it!

Available in 16 oz. bottles, these three (3) flax oils are a whole new experience and a great way to get your Omega-3 EFA’s. Look for them with the other flax oils or with the refrigerated salad dressings.

Flavors include: High Lignan, Mike’s Special, and Sweet Mustard.

High Lignan - Why gourmet golden?....simple, it just tastes better. Being picky about the flaxseed we cold-press allows us to create the smoothest, creamiest, nuttiest, almost buttery golden flax oil. Try it on a baked potato or in your next blended drink. Are you due for an oil change? Taste the difference, go for the GOLD!

Mike’s Special – 50% golden flax oil blended with savory garlic, paprika, and apple cider vinegar create a mouth watering new dressing for every occasion. Great on salad/slaw, sandwiches/wraps, rice/stir fry, potatoes, you name it! Sure to win over even the pickiest eaters and your Kids will love it too!

Sweet Mustard – 50% golden flax oil blended with gourmet Dijon mustard and sweet Agave nectar create the perfect honey mustard sauce for salad, rice, wraps, pasta/potato salads, tuna/salmon patties, and so much more!

Check out the new “irradiated” symbol that will only be put on whole food that has been irradiated. If there are irradiated foods in a prepared food, or food sold in restaurants the symbol is not required. They will also be using the term “Cold Pasteurized” instead of “Irradiated”. According to the FDA guidelines organic foods will not be irradiated at this time, another reason to always buy organic. Correct link for Free Raw Interviews and issues with Raw Agave and Raw Chocolate.
Several people have said the link for the raw food interviews wasn't working. If you were unable to click on the link Full Info click here, just cut and paste this link in your browser

http://www.1shoppingc...

Right now the project is set to release on October 19th and is broadcast for one week only, so I wanted to let you know early.
----
Raw Agave and Raw Chocolate.
I have received several email replies about raw agave and raw chocolate because I told people not to be deceived believing these products are healthy they are not good for you at all.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH RAW AGAVE?
My good friend John Kohler, who has the largest living and raw food website on the internet, www.living-foods.com, was at Raw Spirit Fest 2008, handing out flyers that stated the facts about Raw Agave

Raw Agave contains 85%-90% fructose. No where in nature does this high level of fructose occur naturally. High Fructose Corn Syrup is 90% fructose and we know that is not healthy. Fresh fruits contain 5%-8% fructose.

Problems associated with high levels of fructose
*Can make your fat
*Can raise Triglycerides
*May cause accelerated aging
*Can promote disease more readily than glucose
*Can lend to mineral losses - iron, calcium, zinc.

Agave is a concentrated sweetener and can help perpetuate a sugar addiction.

Agave syrup may be "watered down" with corn syrup before it is imported into the US from Mexico.

Agave syrup is processed in your liver, what other toxins does your liver have to detoxify?

Agave is NOT LOW GLYCEMIC, and will cause your blood sugar to rise according to Dr. Gabriel Cousens.

Agave Syrup is NOT RAW according to Dr. Gabriel Cousens.

I still believe these interviews have a lot of good information to share and since they are free everyone should sign up now by Click here

or just cut and paste this link in your brower:

http://www.1shoppingc...

But just keep your guard up against believing this information is good. In just a few short weeks, this event will be over, so don't miss the opportunity now.

**After the interviews, if you are confused or have any questions email me at paul@rawlife.com and I'll be happy to answer your questions.

What can we use as a sweetener instead of Raw Agave that's good for us?
Organic Green Stevia Leaf Powder
or cut and paste this link
http://www.rawlife.co...

Pure stevia leaf is rich in active and beneficial phytochemicals that occur naturally in this plant. This is the natural green leaf ground into a powder, and not the white powder extract as sold by other companies. Over 100 phytochemicals have been discovered in stevia thus far. It is rich in terpenes and flavonoids.

This plant has been milled into a fine powder which is suitable to stuff into capsules, add to smoothies, juices, water or to prepare your own teas, tinctures or extracts.

Traditional Uses: as a natural sweetener; for diabetes; for high blood pressure; for cavity prevention; as a weight loss aid

Here below is a reprint from my last newsletter about some of the many issues with raw chocolate.
Yet, even more Raw Chocolate bad news

My good friend John Kohler, who has the largest living and raw food website on the internet, www.living-foods.com, was at Raw Spirit Fest 2008, handing out flyers that stated the facts about raw cacoa.

Here are some facts:
*Raw cacao nibs are up to 84% fat
*Cacao contains high levels of saturated fat.
*Raw Cacao is acid forming because it contains caffeine according to scientific journals.
*Monkeys in the wild generally do not eat cacao beans; they eat cacao pulp & dispense the beans.
*As little as 4 ounces of raw cacao can kill your dog. It can also be deadly to cats, horses, and parrots. It is estimated that 22 pounds can kill you. Why eat any amount of poison?
*Is considered a psychoactive substance.
*Raw Cacao can be addictive.
*Can Dilate blood vessels and increase urine.
*A stimulant that can increase heartbeat.
*High in oxalic acid that binds calcium.
*Can cause hyperactivity, sleeplessness, tremors, restlessness, anxiety and headaches.
*Contains theobromine... a "poisonous powder" according to the Random House Dictionary.
*Can cause chromosomal breaks and gene mutations.

sunflower greens (organically grown with OceanGrown Solution which contains 90
different minerals); these babies represent green power in it's most delicious
and nutritious form. A 10.5"X 21" tray is $17.00 for the first tray and $15.00
for all future trays (The price for first tray purchases includes a refundable
$2.00 for tray deposit). Orders can be made via email or telephone. Daikon
radish greens and snow pea greens will be available later this Fall.

I also sell the same OceanGrown solution I use which is also ideal for growing
the most nutritious sprouts and wheatgrass. An ounce of OceanGrown is added to a
gallon of purified water. Quart bottles are $25.00 each and will produce 320
gallons of ocean water solution. You can read more about OceanGrown at
