South Ashevilles Ayurveda Raw /Vegan/Veggie Folk! Message Board › Ashevilles Alternative Health Community
A Community of people interested in Alternative Health to talk about homeopathic remedies, holistic healing, and prevention of disease through healthy living, proper eating habits, and toxin-free personal care.
Alternative Health is the body's natural way of living. Alternative Health differs from traditional Western medicine, which is based largely on prescription drugs. When the human body is treated properly, and given the basic building blocks of nutrition and healthful living that it requires, it has the capacity to heal itself and to live for many years.
At no time does this group or any individual group member intend to replace or refute the medical advice of your doctor.
Ashevilles Alternative Health Community is both Discussion / Presentation. The purpose of the Group is for sharing and educating among ourselves and also to reach out to the community. Each active and participating member who has something to share will have the opportunity to present to the group, and the group is welcome to ask questions. Each active and participating member is encouraged to schedule a presentation to the group on their products and/or services, and the group is encouraged to support one another in these enterprises. This is not, however, an open invitation to distributors of the latest "miracle cure" to drop in and deliver sales pitches, etc.
Ashevilles Alternative Health Community encompasses every part of life, including the foods we eat and nutritional supplements, the types of products we use for personal care and household cleaning, our thought processes, emotions and spirituality. There are many facets of Alternative Health that we all agree on, and there are many facets where people have widely varying opinions and beliefs.
Each of us is at a different stage of Healthy Living, and each of us has our own personal health goals. Each of us is quite passionate about our opinions and beliefs, and we have an earnest desire to enlighten others. Let us focus on learning and growing, and let us at the same time allow one another the basic right to individual opinions and beliefs without condemnation.
