Chinese or Vietnamese? Let's Do Both!

NICOLLET AVENUE-'EAT STREET': Can't make up your mind? Caravelle Restaurant/Pho 79 are adjacent to one another and serve up some of the most authentic Viet-Chinese dishes in a family-friendly environment (I recall coming here has a teen!)

Be sure to arrive on time, so I can get you your name tag and we can start our ice breaker.

For those that are up for it, we can get fresh homemade gelato directly across the street at Vietnamese-run Cafe Kem!

Had another great Foodie experience! I thought the group dynamics and cuisine were outstanding!

Hope to replicate it again in December!

    Should be a rocking time!

Parking is tight. Best bet: off street parking in the neighbor hood. Plan ahead...

    Happy Friday!

Looking forward to celebrating the end of the week and to starting the weekend!

On the menu is a good selection of Viet-Chinese dishes; no matter what you order, it should be tasty. You may even want to team up and share a dish with someone next to you to get the full foodie experience!

    As a pre-game warm-up, here's a the menu:

    Looking good, huh?

    See you tonight!

PS-Parking is to the right of the buidling. Otherwise, you might have to park a couple of blocks in the neighborhood. The area is quite hopping on a Friday night.

    Come hungry!

With the recent snow fall, getting gelato might be a stretch but there are a few cool bars, coffee shops, or dessert places within the vicinity if people are up for that.

Hoping to have another rambunctious time, like always!

Never a dull moment with you, Asian Foodies!

I spoke to the Caravelle waitress Sunday to reserve two large tables in the back, to the right as you enter the doors. Should be another good time.

    Looking foward to it!
