Sushi! This place has a great price point and since we have them make everything to order for us, and is about your average sushi bar quality... but the price is around 1/2 price of a regular sushi bar... so that's why I like this place... Great Value. And they have some pretty tasty rolls too!

$2 for Albacore, tuna, eel, yellowtail, ikura nigori sushi. Most are 2 pieces excepting uni and toro. $2 spicy tuna, salmon skin, California, spicy scallop hand rolls. $3.80 soft shell crab tempura $4-5 udon. Great prices. Is it gonna be the best quality? No, but if you order off the menu and avoid the conveyor belt sushi, the sushi is decent and the prices cannot be beat and it won't break the bank. Normally I'd spend $40-75 for a filling sushi dinner and this place is half the prices. Please bring cash to pay for what you order. Or best way is to share with another person.

This place is worthy of a monthly event here... They actually have several fancy and inventive rolls and dishes, I have to say several of them are really quite tasty plus it won't break the bank. Figure $20-25/person including tax and tip! And that's stuffing yourself. So, now, I've been here a few times and I've figured out the routine to get the best sushi which is to simply order everything off the menu and order  in 2-3 batches so we don't get all the food at once.

I used to eat sushi 3-5 nights a week for several years and I had gotten totally burned out on sushi. So, this place is fine to visit once a month or so... I really like that they use genuine fresh wasabi and not the faux paste and real crab and not the fake stuff often found in sushi bars. I also like that they use jalapenos in their spicy dishes.

After we fill up a table of 4, if there are 4 on the wait list, I'll add another table. Sorry, no plus 1's. Have your friend join if they want to go.

Yelp Reviews

How do you like our sushi pagoda made from our empty plates of sushi? I think the four of us ate about 38 plates of sushi!!! And it only cost us $20pp including tax and tip!!!

The below uni last time was as fresh as any that I've had at any sushi bar. First time I ordered uni, it was not this fresh... next time I order uni, if it is not as fresh as I require it to be, I'll simply refuse it...

They usually have Spanish mackerel available which most other sushi bars do not stock. I was surprised that I really liked it!

Spicy Tuna on crispy rice toast

Yes, I know it's early... but Mondays are my poker night so this way I can hit my 7pm game after dinner.

It is about 1/2 mile from Union Station or Civic Center Metro Stations so you can take the Red Line or the Gold Line to take the Metro Rail to this event, about a 10 minute walk.

Parking: Yelp reviews say Free Validated parking in Japanese Village Plaza parking structure.
