Hey Everybody !
This is our weekly "English Corner" for Asian friends who want to learn real English !
I am a native English speaker from NYC who spent the last 4 years working for Beijing Radio hosting English language programming.
This is a free meetup so I will keep the group small because the bigger the group the less you learn ! Space is limited, and there is usually a waiting list, so if you RSVP, you MUST show up, if you can't, you MUST update your RSVP (1 day before if possible) or you will not be allowed to attend future English Zones !
The IBM Atrium is one of my favorite "secret" spots in the city. Look for me inside with a "Meetup.com" sign. (If for some reason the IBM Atrium is closed, then we will be at the Sony Atrium across the street.)
I will cover the following topics and give you my "road-map" to speaking like a native speaker ! :
1. Grammatically correct English vs Real English (Native Speaker English)
2. Using Real English to discuss Real World topics.
3. Improving confidence and being articulate.
4. The importance of the Basics: Speaking Rhythm, Syllables, Spelling, Proper Pronunciation, Vowels and Consonants.
5. Using newspapers, magazines, games, and everything else to break the ice !
Log in to Meetup with your Facebook account.
Thanks for the kind words Daehan !
