Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women & Children provides a continuum of care from homelessness to self-sufficiency for women and their children. The Women's Village houses a community of women at various stages in their journeys out of homelessness, offering complex, in-depth and long-term care.
Volunteer Project: Volunteers support their bravery with a little pampering and companionship by providing basic manicures, hand scrubs, mud masks and hand massages. Volunteers don't have to be experts at giving manicures. This experience is more about bonding with the women and giving them an opportunity to connect with others. The women really enjoy this service because it allows them to look their best for job interviews. Sometimes there's also karaoke and snacks.
Special Note: This project is open to female volunteers only.
