Michelle, Thank you very much for opening your house and sharing with us. It was blissful. I know you contribute the most and I felt bad you are the only one cleaning the house afterward. Special thanks to Raymond, Greg and Andrew for driving. Jay for bringing much needed beef protein.

Hi everyone, I created an excel sheet of what everyone is bringing based on the comments. Please check the entries are accurate and correct as necessary. Angela, I wasn't sure what you were bringing. But it looks like we could use an entree, more alcohol or snacks. Also, if everyone agrees to bring 1 bundle of firewood that can be bought from any grocery store/CVS/home improvement store, we keep the fireplace going on a very cold night.

Here is the link to the spreadsheet:

As with Josi and Tony, I'll have to bow out from this venue.
I love my job, but not the sudden work trips that puts things
out of whack in my personal life. I'm leaving for a flight up
north this AM but to return Saturday evening.

sounds like we have a lot of food already. can someone suggest anything else we might need? paper plates and other utensils, perhaps? if not, i'll bring stuff to make sangria.

    February 15, 2013

    • Jay

Is that your way of saying skip the food and just go straight for the drinks?

      February 15, 2013

    • Michelle K.

There is already dishes, utensils, etc. we could use like a salad and drinks.

      February 15, 2013

  • John

I'll bring a few bottles of wine as well (red & white), allagash, belgian ales, along with marinated chicken (since JooHong is bringing beef)... Also, depending on the venue, I'm thinking about bringing bulleit bourbon and a vodka for some mixology.

All that talk is making me hungry now.

      1 · February 15, 2013

  • Jane

I dont see vegetables on the list yet. I guess I can bring vege

    February 15, 2013

  • Jay

I'll bring lots of scrap food (spam, leftover hot dogs, outdated kimchi, stale ramen, etc.) for boodae jii gae. If I dig around the back bottom of my refrigerator hard enough, I'm sure I'll find lots of prime boodae jii gae parts.

Some ice wine & Belgian beer. Finger foods like nuts and dried fruits.

    February 14, 2013

  • Raymond T.

    Pizzas, dessert-cakes, juice

    February 14, 2013

  • Joo Hong K.

Few bottles of wine and few pounds of marinated beef.

    February 14, 2013

  • Michelle K.

I also suggest that people say what they will be bringing in terms of food/drinks so there is not a disproportionate amount of the same item. I will bring eggs, bread, sausage, and fruit for breakfast and I'll make Beef stew for dinner so I'll bring ingredients for that. There is plenty of rice and coffee and condiments there already.

    February 14, 2013

  • Paul C.

Aww, I'd totally go if I was around, but I'll be out of town on that weekend. :( It should be a lot of fun though. :)
