GRAND PARK TO LIGHT UP DOWNTOWN LA
WITH THE PARK’S FIRST-EVER 4TH OF JULY BLOCK PARTY

WHAT: Grand Park’s 4th of July Block Party offers Angelenos a new way to experience downtown and celebrate the Fourth. A highly dynamic and creative use of light, projections and pyrotechnics will literally light up downtown Los Angeles. This much anticipated free event, hosted by DJ Anthony Valadez of KCRW, will transform Grand Park into a celebration of the global nature of the community with world music performances from such Los Angeles-based artists as Ethio Cali and Jungle Fire. Park visitors will enjoy food trucks including Greasy Weiner, All American Gourmet Grill, Game On Gourmet, S’cream Balls, and Rollin Rib BBQ Joint. Light show begins at 9pm.
WHERE: All four blocks of Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles
200 N. Grand Avenue, between Grand Avenue and Spring Street
WHAT TO KNOW:
Main stage and viewing area: located between Hill Street and Grand Avenue.
No alcohol allowed.
Ride the Metro line to Civic Center/Grand Park station, located right in the middle of the park.
Suggested parking in Lot 10 under the park between Hill Street and Broadway - $10;
or in The Music Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall garages - $10.
For those who are driving in, and are interested in taking the Metro, are welcome to park at my place in Koreatown where there is free, secured underground parking.
This event is open to 12 members (6 guys and 6 girls). No +1s please.
Please do not sign up if you are not planning on socializing with the entire group. Leave room for other members if you are planning on doing your own thing. If you RSVP, I expect you to meet up with the group.
