Indie-rock band Geographer takes us to other realms with analog, electronic, and acoustic sounds. Named one of SPIN Magazine's "Three Undiscovered Bands You Need to Hear Now," Geographer is lead by vocalist Michael Deni, who sings about the harder moments in life, while Nathan Blaz and Brian Ostreic use their multiple talents on the cello, drums, and synthesizers to make it hit home.

Details:

  • This event is open to 8 members (4 guys and 4 girls)
  • I strongly suggest exchanging cell phone numbers to make it easier to meet at The Getty
  • I anticipate this to be a very popular event, so I suggest arriving early.  I'll probably arrive at around 5pm and check out the museum and get some drinks
  • Please remember to factor in weekend 405 traffic and possible freeway renovation delays
  • Parking is $15 or $10 after 5pm
  • The Getty Center is served by the Metro Rapid Line 761, which stops at the main gate on Sepulveda Boulevard.
  • I expect each member to socialize with the entire group.  For those who have a "friend(s)" in the event, that's great, but I still expect you to interact with the rest of the group.  Those who do not do so, will not be invited back to future events.

Cancellation Policy:

Please be respectful to our other members. If you have a change of plans, please update your RSVP status or email me well in advance (at least 24 hours) so that those on the wait list will have enough time to join. It's not fair to those on the wait list if you end up canceling last minute and waste a spot.

I'm sorry Marty. I was planning and looking forward to the event but unfortunately my work schedule is so tight due to emergencies and I am afraid that I might not be able to come on time.
