Volunteer @ the 21st Veterans Holiday Celebration

This year marks the 21st anniversary of this event and it promises to be the biggest. I will lead our group of over 100 volunteers to serve over 5,000 Veterans and their families. We had over 70 volunteers last year and they did an amazing job. If you wanted to experience the joy of giving during the holiday season this event will give you that and more. It changed my life and it will change yours too.

    I had a blast helping people! Thanks Craig, I really enjoyed coordinating with the group to provide a great place for veterans to sit down and have a decent warm meal. Some of these people don't get this type of type of food on a regular basis and food, has always been for me, is the most visceral way you can show someone you care for their well being.

    I just wish we were able to freely give away boxes to extend that gratitude well after the event.

    It's been great working with everybody. Hope to see you guys on the next volunteer event.

    FYI: For those of you who have not volunteered for this event in the past it's a enormous event. It takes up two huge parking lots to create this incredible happening. There will be over 800 volunteers to bring it all to life. I would say our section is the most important because we actual serve the Veterans and their families. If you signed up for another position, other than the Food Services Team. You will probably be assigned to that position and not be able to volunteer with our team. I just wanted to clarify this for you. Thanks!
