$10 - Sometimes A Little Scary

$10 - Sometimes A Little Scary

This event is limited to 4 attendees at $10 per attendee. Any attendee after 4 attendees may have to pay $29 regular price for this event performance. We will have dinner after the concert.

This time of year can be a little scary, and La Jolla Symphony & Chorus chose music from across four centuries to reflect the spooky season. Conductor Steven Schick leads the way and the International Contemporary Ensemble -- New York's hippest classical ensemble -- shares the stage for a program that ranges from Mozart's poised Sinfonia Concertante for Winds through Edgard Varèse's revolutionary work for solo flute, Density 21.5, featuring ICE soloist Claire Chase, and on to Dai Fujikura's Mina, which was commissioned and premiered by the Seattle Symphony with ICE last year. The concert concludes with Berlioz's haunted masterpiece, Symphonie Fantastique.

Location: Mandeville Auditorium - UC San Diego, 9500 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037.

Sponsor: La Jolla Symphony & Chorus

Regular ticket prices: $29 adult, $27 senior
