SGV Food Tour


Hi all

So the last time I hosted this food tour, we were on the Chinese newspaper.

Anyways. Same deal.

Four stops, fourish hours. The itinerary + my corresponding articles:

Chengdu Taste: Hottest Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles right now. Sichuan food. Spice lovers only! Water boiled fish, toothpick beef, mung bean noodles

BeBe Fusion: Stinky tofu French fries. The stinkiest of all of L.A.. (And I've sampled 90% of them),0,7835606.story

Wang Xing Ji: Large, massive soup dumplings from the Jiangsu Province. Large, crab soup dumplings. You drink the soup with a straw.

Shaanxi Gourmet: Xi'an comfort food. Paomo. pig ears, lamb hamburger and hand-pulled noodles.


The fee is $65 per person and that includes all the food + historical background + transportation. It'll be an educational event on the different styles of cooking in Los Angeles. I'll also be taking the group to my favorite bread shop + Asian snacks store (think dried jerky and fruit) for take-homes, but you're on your own money-wise on that one.

I can accommodate EIGHT people, though if I get someone to volunteer to drive a second car, I can do nine people.
