Joshua Tree National Park Rock Climbing, Hiking, and Camping Trip

If you research for the best time to visit Joshua Tree National Park, you will find the first weekend of October is on the top of that list - perfect weather and perfect time to visit. What can be better than the weather? How about someone fixes your dinner while you rock climb and/or hike during the day. Join us and make some new friends and see old ones!

Now, what if I say, open bar for Friday and Saturday to go with your dinner or while you sit by the campfire? Do you like s'mores, dark chocolate and graham cracker. Yum.

We only have 35 spots for this trip. RSVP now! If you have climbed before and looking forward to climbing with others, bring your climbing gear. Let's climb right next to our campsites. We don't even have to leave "home." Of course, for those that have never been to J-Tree or don't rock climb, there are a lof of great and relatively easy-moderate hikes. You will have fun regardless. :)

Your dollars includes 3 nights camping (Friday, Saturday and Sunday night) along with dinners for Friday and Saturday. There will also be open bar for those that fancy alcoholic beverages (no beer though, sorry). As for breakfast, I will have hot water for coffee and big pot of oatmeal. Lunch, you can buy locally, which I normally do.

You are responsible for bring your tent, air mattress, sleepy bag, water, layering of clothes, a bundle of firewood (per car), cup/plates/silverware, and munchies. Right outside the park, in town is where I normally pick up whatever else I need. I stop by my favorite burrito shop next to Nomads just about every trip too. Everything you need is in town. You are not far from civilization. However, while you are in the park, you will see nothing but Joshua Trees and beautiful rock formations!

NOTE: We have the campsite for Friday-Monday. Most people don't have Columbus Day (Monday) off. You can tear down anytime on Sunday so no rush to get out of J-Tree. If there is only a small number of us staying for Sunday, we can tear down and head over to Palm Springs for a night. I have a timeshare there where we can swim in the pool and relax in the Jacuzzi. If there are still more than 10 of us, we will stay at camp! :)

Payment: Trip is full.

Great weekend to hike, climb, and to breathe in all of the sites of J-Tree! Anna and her team did such a great job with setting everything up in the early mornings. The best part? The lechon! A roasted 40# pig was brought all the way from Eva's Lechon in DTLA. That is 2.5 hours of driving folks to drop off a pig...what a weekend!

Hi, this is Anna, the organizer of the Joshua Tree trip. I just sent all confirmed paid attendees an email with trip information and a few questions. I used the email associated with your Paypal account. Please read the email and let me know the answers to the questions in it. Also, I forgot to put a subject on the email heading. I hope you are as excited about the trip as I am! :)

Hi Anna, can I pay you through Pay Pal? Thanks, Mary Grace for offering to drive. The 3pm Friday departure time would work for me. Maybe drive back to LA after lunch? I'm happy to bring the tent :)

Hi Joy. Yes, please sent the $68 via paypal.com to [masked]. If you can select PERSONAL to PERSONAL, that will help avoid the hefty fee paypal charges. Thanks. :)

Hi Anna. When should we make payment to you? And is our car parking next to the campsite?

Hi Jennifer. I know we already exchanged emails but I figure others might want to see this. We are CAR CAMPING so our car is right next to our campsite. :)

Hi Joy and Mary Grace. I normally help with coordinating carpool since we can only have so many cars at the campsite. It would be great if ladies can carpool and share tent. We need at least 3 people to a car. :) Let me know if you have any questions. Also, I always ask guests to pay before coordinating carpool since I have, in the past, let people coordinate carpool but some people ended up not paying and not going and left the other person scrambling for carpool mates.

I have a space in my tent. I'm in Culver City and it would be great to carpool over.

Anybody have room in their tent and/or interested in carpooling from west hollywood area? I don't have my own tent, was thinking of going from Friday evening - Sunday afternoon (can drive myself, but if anyone has plans for around that same time I'd be happy to carpool).
