Free Music and Art at the LA County Museum of Art II

Free Classical Concert and
Tour of the Museum
(Modern Art and Persian Art - Subject to change)

Cost: $15/museum enterance
After re-newing membership and free passes, I had 8 free tickets to give away. All the people who show up ontime in Ocotber event got in free, so let's do this one more time for people who did not come. I still have two free tickets left so I could probably let four people get in free this Sunday. I'll do drawing at 3:50 pm sharp. Also, there is promotion going on at the BOA. If you are BOA customer, you can get in for free too. Just show your debit/credit card.

Though it was fun in Ocotber meeting, the group was too big to get to know each other. I want this group to be more manageable size and gender balanced.

Flutist Susan Greenberg, Cellist David Garrett, and Pianist Junko Ueno Garrett

Performing works by Kuhlau, Martinu, and Kapustin.

Meeting Place: Very Important -
There are two ticketing locations.
We are meeting inside, next to
Hammer Building.
Ticket Lottery @ 3:50 pm.
Don't be late.

Spent about 2 hours touring the museum and later heading to Bing Theater for the flute performance. You are welcome to roaming at your own pace and meet in front of the BING Theater at 5:40 PM. If you are new to this museum, I highly recommend European Art on 3rd Floor Ahmanson Building and Japanese Pavilion.

After concert, head out to kTown for a light dinner.
Dinner: We will have it at City Center, near Mariposa and Wilshire Blvd. There is free parking for two hours. Also, there is Korean, Japanese and Chinese food for $6-$10+ (The drawback is they are closing 8:30 pm)

Enjoyed music and some interesting art by Price. It will be my last hosting for this venue until next year. Found out that LA resident can attend this museum during weekday(except Wednesday) for free after 3 pm. Hope some of you can attend at your own leisure time.

Hi, today's museum event will be my first w/ this group. I'm just wondering if I'm just supposed to look for a group of Asian folks, lol.... Since there is no phone number to call, I guess that's what I'll do. :) See y'all later today. :)

Hi Joo Hong -- I'll be looking for you all at the music performance. Do you know what time that begins, and where? TIA if you can reply. :)

Joo, How is the parking there on Sundays?

Paid parking at the museum. Also 6th and 7th street has a reasonably good free street parking.

@ Mark, Are you bringing one more guest? No problem, let me know if you need free tickets. I found my BOA cards so now I have five free tickets.

@ Jacqueline, nope. Hayden and Brahms aren't easy pieces to listen. Few people in front of us left at the end of Brahm's performance. No wonder, many people think Classic music is boring. Though museum was wonderful, especially Japanese Netsuke. Also you missed very good $6 Korean Bibimbop.

@ Jasmine, Try to show up before 3:45 pm. Your probability of getting it is very high, if you show up ontime. In October event, everyone who show up ontime got free ticket.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
