Joshua Tree Car Camping (Desert Hikes and more)

This is an overnights trip out of OC. The hikes won't be appropriated for Hikers that are new to hiking or occasional Hikers. IT IS NOT INTRODUCTION TO HIKING. Please join local hikes prior to this trip!

About the trip: We'll explore the westside and southside of the park.

Day1(Sat): Lost Palm Oasis, Mastadon Peak, Setup camp, Lost Horse Mine, Keys View (Sunset)

Day2(Sun): Barker Dam (Sunrise), Eureka Peak, Panorama Loop

This is a strenuous hike thus an intermediate plus-advanced hikers only considering pace, distance, altitude and elevation gain. Know your limits!

Transportation: Please contact each other to arrange carpool as it's long drive.


There should be sufficient site (First-come, First-Served) available. So after the Lost Palm Oasis/Matadon Peak hike, we'll drive up to the center of the park and grab a few sites.

Camping Fees and Fire wood: Will be sort out at campsite.

Water: Potable Water available at campground

Details: Camp Fire Stories and Smores Saturday night

Shower: None

Clothing: Chilly and maybe windy at night.  Daytime will see.

National Park Pass: required and can be purchased at the visitor center.  Weekly and Annual pass available.

WARNING:  This is a desert weather condition


NO SHOW will be banned from my future hikes.
