Come by when you can as we'll go from 11:00 A.M. to sunset on a perfect sunny California weather day.

WHAT TO BRING

Besides yourself and friend(s), please bring your favorite dish that you’d like to share that's worth at least USD$8 (bring enough for yourself and a few others).

Picnic was awesome. Thank you to the hosts! I'm pretty sure I left my jacket by the tree were the table was originally located. If anyone picked it up please lemme know!

I hope everyone is enjoying and having a productive week after the picnic, sports, and games day.

I applaud each and everyone for the gutsy move to come out despite the stormy clouds overhead the night before. As you can see, the weather couldn't get any better than this in Socal. And thank you all for your contribution to make this a very successful event as it wouldn’t be possible without your participation whether you stuck to just eating/drinking or engaged in extracurricular activities. Thank you very much to the core - Lia, Joo Hong, Nam for everything. Special thanks to Dewey for the tables and for making a personal sacrifice. I hope everyone had a chance to meet the event hosts and if not, pls remember it’s a 2-way street and we encourage you to take the initiatives to come up to us. Let’s do this again in 6-8 weeks, hopefully we will have a lot more of the park to play with. Perhaps a softball game, right Jay? Take care everyone.

    TGIF Everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying their productive week and looking forward to Chinese New Year next weekend. But before we get there, we have the 1st 2013 Picnic, Sports, and Games Day this Sunday. Pls be so kind not to forget that :-) Last check – it’s going to 78 degrees this Sunday, can’t get any better than that unless you want a tan. So a “Final Reminder” for all the RSVPs that haven’t update the google spreadsheet to please let us all know soon what dishes you will bring. Preferably we need more main dishes as we have over 90 RSVPs between 3-4 meetup groups. This is by far the largest turnout for the Picnic, Sports, and Games Day . . good job everyone! Suggestions to bring:
    - additional ice chest or two
    - 2 more long tables
    - bags of ice cubes
    - plastic cups
    - more water, sodas, juices,
    - MORE MAIN DISHES

I recognized we have many tennis players participating this time around. If you have tennis balls you like to share, please mark them so it won’t get mixed up. Thank you everyone for your commitment and contribution to make this a memorable event. On behalf of Joo Hong, Lia, and myself, we are excited and look forward to meeting, chatting, eating, and playing with you this coming Sunday morning and let us know if you are new member. Have a cool & safe day!

@Joo Hong, sounds fun....I will try to swing by if times allow me to. I won't sign up because not sure I can make it there or not. But definately drop by before 3pm if I can. Thanks!

    January 31, 2013

    • Joo Hong K.

I will not enforce no show in this event. Try to swing by and come/leave whenever it is convenient for you. There are a lot of good people.

      January 31, 2013

    • Alan

Joo Hong is such a friendly and understandable guy. We have over 90+ RSVPs betw. 3-4 meetup groups. It'll be one large friendly extended family to network and co-op under the clouds/sun with one another and I trust we'll see quite a few familiar faces there.

      February 1, 2013

  • Joo Hong K.

Picnic is ending before Super Bowl TV time and we are starting an hour earlier. Nevertheless, come and leave when it is convenient for you.

    January 12, 2013

  • Michelle K.

Why is this on Superbowl 2013?!?

    January 9, 2013

    • Joo Hong K.

Picnic should be done before 5 and Super Bowl won't start until 6:30 pm. We could head out to watch game together. If not, you could always leave early. Since this is my friend's event, I won't change date or time.

      January 9, 2013

    • Joo Hong K.

Wow, Barry you are right. I like to officially end the picnic time near 3pm our time. Obviously one can stay longer or leave earlier. Maybe, I need to think about whether or not to start the picnic a bit earlier.
