Because we want to reply to everyone... no need for the uptightness which was my point all along.

Hey guys, how about replying to just jay and not to everyone? Just scroll down and click on his email instead of just hitting reply.

Subject: [AsianGroupting] AUTOMATIC REMOVAL FROM THE GROUP - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Date: Fri, 4 Jan[masked]:37:23 -0500

Hello everyone

First of all, I just want to say THANK YOU to our MEMBERS and ORGANIZERS that made our events so special and memorable! It's been a really FUN RIDE throughout ALL our COLORFUL EVENTS filled with JOYFUL MEMORIES and AMAZING CONNECTIONS. And the CREDIT goes to ALL OF YOU that TOOK A CHANCE to come out and share our experiences together.

Now that our group size is considerable, and continues growing, I feel that we need to be a bit tougher on NO SHOWS. No shows happen when a member cancels too late or doesn't bother to show up. It's the worst of the worst and a REALLY BAD, BAD, BAD THING for the ease of organizing an event as well as the group dynamics during the event.

I've gone through lengths in an earlier postings to explain the implications of NO SHOWS so I won't go through that same exercise here. But just know this. When you decide to proceed with a NO SHOW, you take up a spot that another member could have taken to enjoy that event. Furthermore, organizers have that ideal number of participants in their minds. And by not showing up, you THROW OFF that ideal number and MESS UP their original plans. And in turn, you BREACH your own FUTURE TRUST and RELIABILITY in the eyes of the organizers.

So this is what I will ask all the organizers to do moving forward to stop this carelessness and disregard for common courtesy to others. Anyone that doesn't bother to make it to the event where the WAITING LIST is EQUAL TO or GREATER THAN the number of AVAILABLE SPOTS, will be automatically removed from the group. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS!!!

Say for example, if an event opened up with 5 available spots. And then it got filled. In addition, another 5 more people signed up on the waiting list. At that point, if any of the 5 commits a NO SHOW, he or she will be automatically removed from the group. Please understand this isn't meant to be heartless and unforgiving. It's just to MITIGATE this kind of ABUSE and give others on the waiting list A FAIR CHANCE to enjoy our events as well.

If you are removed from the group, you can rejoin in 3 months time. The other option is to reach out to the organizer of that event and plead your case if you care to. The organizer will have full discretion as to whether to accept you back in or not. However, if you have been kicked out multiple times, there will be a cutoff from any further pleas. At that point you'll be permanently banned until further notice.

So please everyone, in the future when you RSVP for our events, please be very mindful and considerate of this NO SHOW, NO EXCEPTION policy. It will help to avoid all kinds of aggravation and hassles on both sides. Thanks in advance everyone for understanding.

Jay
