By participating in events of Asian Foods Group (AFG), you hereby assume all risk and impose no liability to AFG and any of its organizers and members and their guests.
Organizers will automatically add $1 to your bill for attending event to go towards meetup fees.
Inactivity of at least 1 year will trigger removal from the group. Activity is tracked based on your last site visit.
Etiquette will be monitored and memberships will be at risk for repeated disregard of rules.
RSVP and Attendance
Only RSVP if you truly intend to attend an event. Members who immediately sign up to hold a spot only to eventually back out are preventing other members to make plans and attend an event.
RSVP YES is a commitment to participate in an event. We understand circumstances that prevent attendance may happen. Please update your RSVP BY THE EVENT CLOSE DATE OR AT LEAST 24 HOURS advanced notice as common courtesy and respect of organizers and other members who are signed up or on the wait list for the event. Note that some events will require more lead time to confirm your reservation, if so, please observe those rules. --Backing out of an event in less than the required lead time or less than 24 hours at a minimum is considered a FLAKE-OUT. If you demonstrate 4 FLAKE-OUTs within a time period of a year, you will be removed from the group. --Not showing up on an RSVP YES without any explanation is considered a NO SHOW. If you demonstrate 3 NO SHOWs, you will be removed from the group.
For emergency last minute cancellations and prevent NO SHOW, notify the Event Organizer (EO) either by posting a comment or contacting the EO. This situation will still be considered a FLAKE-OUT.
Being on the WAITING LIST is not a confirmation or a spot guarantee. Neither are AVAILABLE SPOTS in the ATTENDEE LIMIT. Please contact the EO directly to confirm if spots are open for you. --Showing up at an event if you are not confirmed is considered a FLAKE-IN. If you demonstrate 4 FLAKE-INs within a time period of a year, you will be removed from the group.
Be on time. If you're going to be late, notify the organizer either by posting a comment or contacting the EO.
Event Bill and Payments
Contact the EO AT LEAST 24 hours in advance if you have groupons, coupons, or other discount that can be applied towards the event. The EO will make the final decision whether he/she will use it for the event.
Always bring CASH to pay for your portion of the bill to avoid inconvenience for all parties involved. Venues are getting stricter with their policy on split cheques. --Not paying CASH is considered a FLAKE-IN. If you demonstrate 4 FLAKE-INs within a time period of a year, you will be removed from the group.
Pre-paid events will be indicated on the event details. Refund policy of a pre-paid event will be dictated by the venue and as such, may result in a forfeit should you back out after payment. Note that we will not regularly collect pre-payments for events.
Other group rules or event rules, as made explicit in this document or on the event details itself, are to be followed. The EO will have final discretion. --Not following rules is considered a FLAKE-IN. If you demonstrate 4 FLAKE-INs within a time period of a year, you will be removed from the group.
