GRASP Chicago-Evanston (Evanston AS Adult Support Group)

GRASP Chicago-Evanston Support Group meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 2pm to 4pm in Evanston Hospital, Room 1711, 2650 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL 60201.

We have space for 30 people. Please RSVP to Steven L. or on the this site. Write "RSVP" in the subject line of your e-mail. Parents and other observers should RSVP directly to Steven L. to state who they are accompanying or why they would like to observe.

Usual Group Format: Each group will have the following components -

Break for mingling (10-15 minutes)

Open Discussion Time: Group members are welcome to propose discussion topics or share ideas and experiences to receive group feedback.

Chicago-Evanston Support Group is a peer-run support group for adults (18+) with Asperger Syndrome, Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder-NOS, Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, and other similar social-affecting LD's. No formal diagnosis necessary.

* Basic Privacy Policy: Identities of group members and any other personal information shared at support group meetings cannot be shared outside the group without their permission.

For non-spectrum attendees: If you are accompanying someone on the spectrum, please e-mail me to tell me who you are accompanying. If you want to come as an observer, please give me a short explanation of why you would like to observe the meeting.

Parking is free at the Evanston Hospital garage on Sundays.

Public Transportation:

Evanston Hospital is also 2 blocks from the purple line EL stop at Evanston-Central St.

It is 6 blocks away from the Evanston-Central St. Metra stop.
