I've always been a creative writer, so naturally I gravitated toward screenwriting. I love creating interesting, complex, and powerful stories that can leave a lasting impression. Directing also follows that, as I don't think I could trust anyone else to direct the things I write - there's far too high of a potential that it doesn't turn out the way it should.
Absolutely. I'm down for really any aspect of filmmaking to help another member make their movie. The only part I'm not great at is editing, but I can learn to do that.
I've been writing creatively my entire life, and really started studying screenplays the last six months or so. I've watched way too many movies, and honestly that is a pretty important factor in learning to make them. I'm reading books on screenwriting and filmmaking, and I hope to gain experience through this group to start making things of professional quality.
I can definitely purchase a reasonable camera, and maybe a few boom mics or lights.
Hello everyone, I am Wes Kalbus, an aspiring screenwriter/director from San Diego. I'm hoping to meet a group of people that can allow other aspiring film makers to break into the industry and do this professionally.
