Lunch Networking, venue visit

Hi Photographers,

I want to invite some of our members from our photography group to go visit a BRAND NEW wedding venue.  This is an opportunity to get to know the venue, be familiar with it and be ready to shoot a wedding there!  Bring your camera's take some photos, have some lunch and network with other wedding industry professionals.  ** If you bring your camera you might want to share some photos with the venue owner in exchange for being listed on the site or such.

We are heading out a wee bit to Black Diamond (it's a 25-30 minute drive from my home in Tacoma).  As I mentioned this is a brand new wedding/event venue that is opening and looking for input from professionals in the group. They are also starting out with special rates for their first year weddings ... they are ready to start booking.

This is a great opportunity to see the plans for this venue, learn what they have to offer for weddings and events.  It's also a good time to introduce your business to this new venue.

It was previously a plant nursery and is now in the process of being converted for event use with plenty of outdoor or 'indoor' space.

More info to come.

A 'picnic style' lunch will be served, so there is a $6.00 fee for lunch.

Driving Directions...

FROM SEATTLE OR TACOMA:

Take I-5 to Hwy 18 East in Federal Way (Exit 142A).
At mile 6 on Hwy 18, exit on the Auburn/Black Diamond Rd
Turn right for about 50 yards
Then right again onto SE Green Valley Rd.
Enjoy the beautiful drive for 10.4 miles along this picturesque country road passing Flaming Geyser Park and going up the hill.
When you see the Cadman sign on your right, Black Diamond Gardens will be on your left - just before reaching SR 169 (Black Diamond-Enumclaw Hwy).

FROM BELLEVUE/EASTSIDE:

Take I-405 to SR 169 (Renton-Maple Valley Hwy).
Go through Maple Valley and Black Diamond.
Two miles south of Black Diamond, turn right on SE Green Valley Rd.
Black Diamond Gardens is behind the pond, the very first driveway on the right.

If anyone needs a ride, they can carpool with me from Tacoma. I'm meeting another wedding vendor that I haven't met yet at the Tacoma Mall. I have two seats available. Last minute RSVP is okay. [masked]

** Since many members don't read the message board, I'm going to start sharing this bit of news on each event.

We have a FB group page, please consider coming and joining us. There have been questions about lens, where to shot in surrounding cities, and just about any other photography question/discussion has been opened for conversation there. Come share and possibly learn something new too!
