Monthly Meeting - A studio visit Angie D Guy Photography

  • This location is shown only to members

 Hello Photographers,

We will be scheduling monthly meetings with a dual purpose and we hope members can find time to attend and participate.

First, come and share prints/photographs. Bring prints of any size that you would like to share, if you want critique on the photos simply ask. If you want to share for the sake of sharing because you love a photo, bring it! If you have a special edit you did, and want to share bring a before/after of the photo. Just share, you have an eager audience who wants to see what you've done!

Open discussion - bring a subject that's on your mind that you would like to discuss with other members: Possible topics of discussion: How to shoot a wedding, what to expect when shooting a wedding, marketing, the importance of networking, lighting, camera gear, etc.  We don't know all the answers, but I can pretty much assure you someone in the group will have an answer!

Also, don't worry about arriving late of having to leave early. This is an open meeting and you are always welcome no matter what time you make it. Most of the time we've had people there talking until 9 something ... or when the employees are kicking us out! You also don't have to stay the entire time.

MARCH MEETING: This month as you may have noticed from the address we are meeting at different location.  We will be meeting at the studio of Angie D Photography.  Angie is the current president of the PCPPA which meets in Tacoma once a month.  She will be our guest speaker this month.  We will also get a tour of her spectacular studio space.

*** UPDATE 03-05:  The time has been adjusted a bit to meet at 7pm.  We will NOT be having a dinner at this meeting.  So please grab a bite before coming to the meeting.  There are a few places close by to stop and grab some dinner.  Let's keep her studio clean, if you bring something to eat or drink clean up and remove it when you leave. =)

Nope, no notes, but it was a really good meeting with some interesting people. The studio was very well laid out and had some really good backgrounds and such. It gave me some ideas. We also discussed business matters.

It was inspiring to see Angie's studio and I enjoyed the sharing of information. I'm just left dealing with a major case of studio envy! =)

If you bring prints this month, let's limit them to TWO prints as we will be spending most of the time with Angie speaking and checking out her studio.
