For Thursday March 4th, we will feature a special event for the first half of the night- we will be hosting an Ableton Live Production class to teach the basic components of music production through Ableton Live.

There has been a lot of interest among members of the group to learn more about music production and we are lucky enough to have a member of the group, Serge, who is a wizard at production and has offered to teach the group the basics of production using Ableton Live. If you've ever had an interest in production, in using Ableton, or just in learning more about the foundations of composing music, this is not to be missed. For those members who use Ableton already, we'd welcome your participation and contribution to the class.

The class will begin at 7pm and will last between 1-2 hours after which we will move on to our regular Thursday Open Turntable Event. While typically we have not charged for our Thursday events we will be charging a nominal $3 fee at the door for the class to cover the associated expenses/time involved in preparing. Compared to what others would charge for a class of this nature we think this is reasonable but please speak to me separately if the cost is prohibitive for you to attend.
