Seriously, thanks everyone for being patient while we all learned how to play this geekified/enhanced version of the game for the very first time. Every player came up with awesome suggestions on how to improve it and our "beta" testing in different areas was quite informative. It turned out really well by the end of the day.

We are moving our game to the best buy on 23rd and 6th

    March 23, 2013

  • Caitlin

We moved over to the home depot down the block to play inside

    March 23, 2013

We are playing and congregating in the open spot near shake shack between games

finally I got here (1 train is also skipping 23rd) and I don't see anyone so I think I'm going to line up for food too

    March 23, 2013

  • Caitlin

I'm hungry and I got on the shake shack line, purple striped hat grey jacket if you don't know me

so i just found out that downtown N/Q are skipping 23rd st stop. I'll still be waiting near that general area of the park that I said in the email. But I suggest the 6 or F/M if you are coming from uptown.

Oh well good luck everyone :(

      March 23, 2013

    • Caitlin

Wow for good measure the 6 is running express to 42...

  • Daniel M.

is it alright if we bring stuff like tiny nerf guns to mess around with after we get caught?

    March 23, 2013

    • Caitlin

You are now responsible for the future of all Nerf guns in all Ferrell hide and seek events... With great power comes great responsibility...

The e-mail confirmation I got had two start times on it: one said 4pm and the other 8pm. Which one is correct?

    March 20, 2013

    • Sarai

At the top left hand part of the e-mail where it tells me where the event is, what it is, etc. there's a time that says "when: 8pm-11pm". Thanks for clearing that up for me :-)

      March 20, 2013

    • Chris B

I went ahead and rsvp'd again under a different email just to get another confirmation email and it is telling me 4pm. My guess is meetup.com is filled with bugs.

    March 19, 2013

    • Chris B

usually everyone is emailed a day before the phone number you can call and the information where to go.

      March 19, 2013

  • Ted Q.

I'm down for this, though I'm somewhat surprised the rules aren't posted for a game that supposedly has approx. 35+ people between both groups.

Just realized this is during Penny Arcade Expo... probably not able to go unless it's rescheduled.

The yes is conditional on my flight out of lax being on time

well Caitlin it would still be nice to post some rules so we have an idea of what to do an ask questions if we dont understand something before we start . It is probably easy to understand but at least give us some ideas . PS we miss you

      March 17, 2013

    • Caitlin

honestly, it is mostly just hide and seek, i'm going to provide bandannas so we can mark off the teams. the rules are for determining things like how many per team, time of match

    Sounds different.. Post the rules!

    March 16, 2013

    • Caitlin

no, i can't! it is a secret! So this is the first test run of this rule set and my girlfriend requested that I not give the rules out in entirety as we may make changes based on how you guys like it. But I can tell you that: I will be the Ref, amount of people and time limit is determined by how many people playing in a round, team with the last person hidden wins

      March 16, 2013

  • Reshma J.

    can I get more info?

    March 16, 2013

    • Chris B

The description has been updated for location. This is your usual hide and seek game but it's going to be slightly different than usual in terms of rules. As for what they are, I don't know. The girl geeks have something cooking for this. I will be as surprised as everyone else.

      March 16, 2013

    • Caitlin

My girlfriend has written a rulebook for gameplay. It is a tournament style hide and seek game played in teams. I will act as the referee and provide bandannas for team identification. If this goes well I hope we can make it a monthly crossover event between the coed and Girl Geek Adventure.
