zombie laser tag

Please bring CASH to the venue so we can pay all at once. They don’t allow multiple credit cards. $28 per person.

“I just got kicked off of the RSVP list, what happened?”

Caitlin, Kira, and I have sent out a large amount of emails and notes to everyone that this required a $5 deposit with a deadline of Tuesday, because we recently ran into an issue (we called and they said “$5 per person deposit”). So that sucked. We wanted to pay it off ASAP or we’d lose the time slot.

If you RSVP'd but didn't pay the deposit, you were taken off the list. This has been spelled out clearly for the past week.

We paid it, we got the time slot. We are now good to go. Hurray!

I apologize for this advance payment thing. This was all figured out at the last minute. Caitlin, Kira, and I were not planning on going to this meetup, but there were 50 people RSVP’d and we stepped in because it was in danger of being cancelled.

Everyone showed up, it was epic. Everyone followed the instructions, no problem paying, it worked without problems. Next time maybe we do a smaller meetup so we can play more,. And a different game, maybe black ops 12 vs 12.

    July 13, 2013

    • Walter B.

Game still hasn't started as of 7:55.

      July 13, 2013

  • Chris B

OK big problem, if the 7 train is skipping 33rd st today you might have to get off at queensboro plaza or queens plaza and walk, or do Court House stop on the 7. The G at Court House is also not working. Please add 20-30 minutes to your commute today

    July 13, 2013

    • Stepan

Ha, realized the skip when we passed 33rd. Hopefully will still be there by 7

      July 13, 2013

      July 12, 2013

    • Rob

      Done, thanks

      July 12, 2013

  • Chris B

That's it, 25 people. If you didn't pay the deposit, you were taken off the rsvp list, simple as that. Rob you should be good to go, hopefully everyone is straight on this.

    July 12, 2013

  • Chris B

people have until later today to pay the deposit. If not, you'll be taken off the rsvp list. Sorry, it's not how we usually do things here but this meetup is unusual.

    July 12, 2013

  • Chris B

http://www.formstack.com/forms/IndoorExtreme-WaiverForm Don't forget to fill out the waiver, you need to send it now and they email you a confirmation

    July 11, 2013

    • David M.

Does it has to be online can I just fill one out at the place

      July 11, 2013

    • Chris B

i don't know, that's just the email they sent, they said fill it out and print it out or show them on your phone, but you fill it out and it emails you back confirmation and that confirmation is what you show, not the waiver.

      July 8, 2013

    • Chris B

thanks. I've also noticed that it charges me money if it is used, so I have to add a surcharge to help even it out. I still lose money, actually me and whoever pays both lose some money.

30 spots left as if now

    July 7, 2013

  • Chris B

In order to reserve the time for our meetup, we need to pay a deposit ASAP or we will LOSE the 8pm time slot for this. You need to pay by paypal the amount listed by Tuesday at midnight or your RSVP is going to be deleted. Anyone RSVPs but we don’t have your money, you are going to be deleted.

If you want to get back on the RSVP list, paypal and RSVP again. There is an RSVP limit of 40 PEOPLE on this event. That is between both Geek Adventure and Girl Geek Adventure. This is first come, first serve. This limit is set by laser tag, not by us. If you pay and you don’t make it in the initial 40 people, we simply deny your payment and you won’t lose any money.

This is nonrefundable according to laser tag. If you don’t show up, you lose your money because we still have to pay for your spot and the money has already been transferred to laser tag.

    Please pay $ 5
to [masked] using PAYPAL by TUESDAY JULY 9, 11:59pm.
Check this box: “I'm sending money to family or friends”

    July 7, 2013

The price is $32 per player when we get there, again please bring cash for this.

    July 7, 2013

  • Chris B

OK, IMPORTANT UPDATE, ALL CAPS, PEOPLE. By the end of today I am going to have information on how to pay for this. You will need to pay one of us organizers a deposit. Don't worry, the amount is very small (I think $5 or more). BUT, and this is the big one, we have overbooked the amount of people who are allowed to attend between geek and geek girls. Therefore, the FIRST 40 PEOPLE who paypal their deposit money get in. Right now I'm waiting on some information but I'll get back to you all ASAP.

Also, right now laser tag knows we are coming with 40 people but as of this moment we are only pencilled in. Our group could be pushed back to 10pm, but right now they are saying 8pm is OK.

Your deposit is nonrefundable. This is according to laser tag, not me. If you pay and don't show up, I can't get your money back! But it will reduce the money everyone else pays, so thank you.

ALSO, everyone needs to bring CASH on Saturday at the venue. They only accept one credit card for a group.

Also if any of you are part of the Bklyn/LES show group, I think I'll drop by this show afterward, since it's relatively close and I usually drive in.

I would really like to come but don't feel like walking a mile form the 7 train !!! if there is anyone around who wouldn't mind giving me a lift on the way over that would be awesome.

    June 26, 2013

    • Kerri

Perhaps you are getting the same issue I am. When I clicked on the included address above Google Maps brought me to the wrong location further down Van Dam St. Search "Indoor Extreme Sports" and it should come right up, in the right location, showing you much less of a walk :) Now if only this weren't on a Saturday... (Unless it can be moved to 9:30PM, that I could make)

    May 30, 2013

  • Chris B

ok here's as much of the conversation as I can find from email

    Christine
is there a way for organizers to collect $ for this in advance, so flake-outs don't leave the rest of us with the bill?
    Caitlin
    Yes there is!
    Chris Trivino
thats a good idea, going dutch
    Chris B
Yes, but from what I can tell it's connected to the head organizer's account since it won't let me do it.
    Caitlin
are you a cohost host of the event? because when i look at an event that I am host of I see it as an option under edit... I have never used it but is it like not letting you save the options?
okay my suggestion is to make yourself and christine cohosts of a new event.

    May 20, 2013

    • Chris B

set all the details that you want including the amount required for RSVP and then send a message to all those who RSVPed yes to this event with a link to the new event explaining why we have created an "official" event to make sure that no one is stuck with a huge bill
then announce the event to the crowd
      Sania
How about trying something like EventBrite. Organizers can create the event, collect payments for tickets, and buy accordingly. If someone doesn't show up, their loss.
      Caitlin
Well as I see it the problem with that is we have to hit certain $ goals in order to have zombies. More zombies more money of course. So for whatever price we set there will be a minimum of attendees required.
