43600 Mission Blvd. , Fremont, CA
Mary Johnson, a former nun with Mother Teresa's "Missionaries of Charity" will be speaking about her experiences and why she left the order after 20 years. Her talk will include a discussion of Commitment Mechanisms that drive people to stay in groups even after they've become disillusioned with them, and a short reading from her memoir "An Unquenchable Thirst." Mary now lives as a non-believer, and is married and quite happy.
I hope you'll join us, and/or let your group members know about the talk. It will be held on Friday, Oct. 25th at 7pm on the main campus in Fremont. For tickets and further information, please visit
