ACSJ Sees "Book of Mormon"

The L.A. Times review: "'The Book of Mormon' has all the fearlessness one would expect. Sacred cows, let's just say, are there for the riotous milking. But for all its irreverence, The Book of Mormon has the old-fashioned musical comedy heart of adults who spent much of their adolescence lip-syncing to original cast albums in their finished basements. Nothing is off limits. The farcical stampede is unstoppable. It's not easy to shock a modern-day audience, but The Book of Mormon succeeds with alarming regularity."

So it looks like Iris and I will be hoping the train in Sunnyvale and then transfer at millbrae. We should all get there an hour or two early and have lunch. Maybe we can all be on the same train and gather at millbrae before continuing on to the theater.

I'm planning on the 9:14 train as well.

Right now is the time to get your carpools organized. Email each other using each other's Meetup profiles. Benefits: 1) You'll save on parking, 2) you're more likely to be on time, 3) you're less likely to get lost, and 4) carpooling is a wonderful way to get to know other members! (I had to change my plans and will see the show in January.)

Was thinking we could take Caltrain then split a cab to the theater?

    • Jason Gurtz

I checked and if we transfer to Bart at millbrae, the union station stop is one block from the theater

Doesn't sound like will be group tickets. Do we go ahead and purchase individual tix? Also, this description doesn't mention whether will be a meet greet before, after or during intermission. Enlighten me.

It's sold out. Some of us were able to get tickets a couple of months ago, but you might be able to get tickets through StubHub or something similar.

Iris, Tim S., Dave A., Greg: The tickets are here!! I'll bring them to the ACSJ meeting tomorrow night (Oct. 23) at the Sonoma Chicken Coop in Campbell. They were $80 + $10 theater fee (each). Cash or check is fine. I'll email each of you individually, too. It'll be such fun!

Are you all buying with an Amex card? I only have one of those for work, I can't buy fun time tickets with it. And it looks like tickets won't be on sale until the 18th for those w/o an Amex. Or am I blind?

    • Susan M.

No, you're correct. If you (or anyone else) would like me to buy a ticket on your behalf, contact me.

    • Susan M.

Tim and Iris and I will be there, too!

Guess what! I find myself with two spare tickets, $90 each. Any takers? The only drawback is that you'll have to sit with me! haha! They're balcony seats. Email me.

As a big Matt and Trey fan I have been wanting to see this.

    THANKS SUSAN!

BTW - Where did you by tickets for $90? I can't find anything under $139.

Wondering if anyone has tix for sale/ a way to get tix?
