October is shaping up to be an exiting month!

Brian B.
Campbell, CA
October is going to be packed with events, so get ready and RSVP early!
First of all, I want to thank our Action Team (Tim, Mary and Joel) for looking into various options for a new location. Thank you all for spending the time to make those calls and research venues. That said, our next meeting will be at the Sonoma Chicken Coop in Campbell. This is an excellent location, two blocks from a Light Rail station! The meeting will take place upstairs where they have reserved a large part of the room and the menu is a lot more diverse (including a full bar):
I should also mention, for those of you who have a hard time with stairs – there is an elevator right next to the handicapped parking in the lot adjacent to the restaurant that leads directly into the meeting area. Just give one of us “stair jockeys” your food order and we will be more than happy to grab your dinner for you.
I guarantee you are going to love this spot!
Next, Richard Dawkins is coming to town! I will personally be attending both the SF and Santa Clara events, proudly wearing my ACSJ shirt! For all of you who can, please represent!! We have a shop set up for all kinds of swag:
Last but not least, we have a weekend of volunteer activities on October 19th and 20th. Please check these out and sign up. For “Light The Night” we will be walking two miles for cancer research and I have already started a fundraising page!
Join the team, start your own fundraising or just put a few bucks in mine! I would love to see you out there, no matter what level of involvement you choose. We won’t have a chance to talk about these events at a meeting, so check them out on the Meetup page:
Have a great week everyone!
