'Atheists in the Pub'

This is organised by Atheist Ireland, but you don't have to be a member to go along. A great way of meeting like-minded people. The speaker is Gary Keogh. Gary is a theologian and lecturer at All Hallows College, DCU and Hibernia College. He is the author of numerous articles on religion in Ireland and a book on Richard Dawkins - 'Reading Richard Dawkins: A Theological Dialogue with New Atheism' http://www.amazon.com/Reading-Richard-Dawkins-Theological-Dialogue/dp/1451472048

He will be speaking broadly on theology, religion and atheism.

Thanks a million for a very well organized interesting friendly informative meeting. It was my first atheists meeting and everybody made me feel welcome and at ease and answered any questions I had. Gary the speaker was very good and interesting and an open book as he too answered any questions I had

Yes I think we might have sown some seeds of doubt. Still he was a good speaker and he wasn't an apologist for anything.

Very good - a very civilised evening - could almost have passed for a Church of Ireland gathering!

Looks like it going to be a good crowd there tomorrow. If it's your first time say hi and I can introduce you to others from the meetup group.

And if it looks like Ashling is busy I'd be more than happy to extend the same courtesy :)

How can I tell the atheists apart from the believers at the pub?

    1 · March 17, 2014

    • Ashling

Usually by the quality of the conversation ;-) We have the bar downstairs booked just for us until the speaker is finished. The door is to your left at the stairs.

That means an ex-Hindu atheist can join the kill? Just kidding. So long as the man doesn't try to liberate our souls :-)
