I started labelling myself as an atheist in my last few years of university. During those last couple of years I went from zero to public speaker about atheism at uni very quickly. I hope to help increase and strengthen the community for us in SA

Where did you hear about the Atheist Community of South Australia (formerly Adelaide Atheists)?

A google search way, way back

What Scott S is saying about this Meetup Group

It's not all about crazy theists, it's about crazy atheists too!

Its up too you, do whatever your conscience tells you (science is the last part of that word) I just love people....we have atheist's that come to Edge, non of us have a problem with that. You have great worth and value in Gods sight.

Your right Scott forgot to mention there is a petition going on-line with people signing it in order to set him free. If you write in Pastor Saeed's name into the internet it will come up.....thank you for your compassion, we are all going to need it at some are a good man.

Hi Scott...I know you dont believe in Jesus or God but Im asking your Society to pray anyway for Pastor Saeed a former Muslim who has been imprisoned for preaching Christianity in Iran. Hes being beaten and brutaly tortured...he has a wife, also a former Muslim and two little girls back in the USA. No-one should be treated like this, no-one.

Hi Scott...I understand why you deleted my comment...I agree it adds nothing too your Forum, its just a personal comment. At the end of the day we are all human beings that deserve to be respected, no matter what his or her beliefs are...our diverse opinions add to us being uniquie as individuals...

How do you explain B.C. and A.D. that our history timeline and has been around as long as the Bible because it relates to Before Christ and After Death (of Christ) everyone knows that to be true.

I was brought up with evolution Scott so I do understand it very well...but when you read the Bible it just doesnt stack up. A great magazine to read and have an open mind too is "Creation Science" it shows you how the Bible and Science marry up...its very interesting reading...its what converted my mother to Christianity (a staunch Evolutionist) and my Father..the facts were just to plain to ignore.

Not really Scott as they have not found any skeletal remains of a half monkey, half man. But yes you are so right about this not being the place to discuss it..I totally agree re- facial expressions etc. I will come one Monday night with my partner who is also a believer. It would be great to have a chat about all of this....thanks for the invite

Hi Scott - if we evolved from monkeys, how come we still have monkeys? and how can their be a histrory line without B.C. or A.D. Before Christ or After Death....since the beginning of time, thats been what histroy has used as its timeline...can you give me your opinion on my questions to you. God Bless Dianne
