Position Overview
The Software Engineer is a member of the Software Engineering department which has a primary objective of product development (primarily internal productivity software and B2B integration). Peer roles within the Software Engineering department include Applications Analysts and Integration Engineers. Leveraging senior-to-advanced technical skills (C#, MVC, Domain Driven Design, Service Oriented Architecture, Object Oriented Programming and Pattern Architecture) Software Engineers participate directly in product design and development. Software Engineers benefit significantly from their ability to communicate constructively with peers (code review, paired programming) and participate in an iterative-style process (Agile, Kanban).

Summary of Responsibilities

• -Participate in discussions centered on feature design, structure, value and approach

•- Execute programming tasks consistent with team standards and procedures (source control, version

-management, coding practices, unit testing, code review)

• -Participate in the communication of progress and challenge resolution (daily scrum)

• -Assist colleagues with the configuration of host servers supporting the application platforms

• -Participate in promotion (deployment) and disaster recovery procedures

• -Diagnose defects and provide assessments of remedial action

• -Maintain a posture of accountability for the quality of work and the quality of collaboration

• -Participate in the presentation of completed features (sprint review, retrospectives)

• -Participate in the evaluation of new technology and its alignment with Stratose

• -Participate in the processes and duties consistent with delivery of the above responsibilities

The following technologies are leveraged by our team of Software Engineers. Stratose is seeking individuals with strength in these (or comparable technologies):

• .NET, C#, MVC, XML, Web Services

• Object Oriented Design, Object Oriented Programming, Domain Driven Design, Pattern Architecture

• SQL Server, Entity Framework

• Unit Testing (NUnit), Continuous Integration

• Source Control (Subversion SVN)

• Iterative Development Practices (Agile, Kanban)

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent/aligned professional history
