    Hi, Sandra.

The AFS program on Sunday, March 10, will feature famous zoologist and freethought speaker Bob Truett, speaking on “It’s Only a Theory.” Bob says that his talk will be “rather unorthodox, somewhat astonishing, and [will] involve a lot of audience participation.” He is inviting “a real expert to assist him—Bugs Bunny.” Children as young as six years old are specifically invited and should enjoy the show. But evolutionary biologists should also expect to learn something new.

Bob Truett directed several major zoos before he retired, most recently the Birmingham Zoo. He has spoken to AFS several times before. He is well respected for his knowledge of animals and he’s loved for his sometimes-corny humor. The program, free and open to the public, will be preceded by a potluck lunch starting around noon. The program will start at about 1 P.M. at AFS Hall, 4775 N. Church Lane, Smyrna 30080 (just off Atlanta Road, inside the I-285/ perimeter—exit 16). - Steve

This month's AFS meeting will be on Sunday, February 10 at 1:00PM. Our speaker will be Reggie Finley, who will tell us about his latest adventure as "Dr. Ion" in a new company called The Fun Scientists LLC. The Fun Scientists's mission is to provide the very best in science education and entertainment to children and families. They combine fitness-fun as well as stimulating and engaging science demonstrations for growing and curious minds. Their science programs are meant to always be fun, engaging, high-quality and safe.
This AFS program will include fun activities and science demonstrations and will be especially good for children, so please feel free to bring your children to the meeting!
The location: Atlanta Freethought Hall, 4775 N. Church Lane, Smyrna, GA.
    See you there!
