The Atlanta Atheists Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

  • This location is shown only to members

Who should come? Are newcomers welcome? Anybody who wants to! Why should people come? To meet fellow atheists/agnostics/freethinkers. Do attendees need to participate or can they just listen? People are welcome to just listen as they like. I am sure everybody will have something to contribute. How will members find you when they get there? Personnel at the brewpub will direct them. We usually meet in the "Cellar" area.

I'm disappointed that I was not able to make it. I need to get with like-minded folks, quick! I went into Sam's Club recently to pay my Discover bill. I told the lady that I was here to pay my dues. She asked me if I had paid my tithes. OMG! Really!!

similar story: I teach art at a local college. Went to the school bookstore to order portfolios for my class. Manager said she could not do it until all the portfolios she had were sold. There were 2 left. It takes 10 days to reorder and deliver new batch. And she said, she would only order 6 at the most. I said ma'm this is like a devil circle we are not getting anywhere with this. She proceeded to cast satan out of me in the name of jesus - you get the picture. I replied now that satan is offically addressed here, who is your manager? I must do real business here for the school. For crying out loud!

I had a great time meeting other non-believers and can't wait for the next gathering.

The number of new attendees was exciting. This is an important group cause and the more people we attract the better.

I'd love to attend some of these meetups, and I'm looking forward to those which don't cut into my time with my daughter. (We're having a fairly impressive string of scheduling conflicts...soon, though, I'm sure!).

Hello, my name is Kate. Me and my two kids (Sara 17 & Matt 18) are just visiting here ( in Gainesville ) for 3 months and are fond of joining some of your meetings during our stay here. We've come here from Hungary first of all to improve our English, secondly : my daughter is a professional kayaker (paddler) and she is having her winter training here at LCKC kayak club. We all are atheists or freethinkers - as you wish:)) and would like to meet some ppl sharing our way of thinking here in the Bible belt . We are looking forward to meeting you this Sunday (26th Jan).... We hope to find the place:))
