Now that you've recovered from all your Memorial Day weekend fun, come on out and celebrate with us in a laid-back, cheerful atmosphere that guarantees you're going to have a good time (especially after the chef brings you a drink or two!)
One of our best events ever was an event we had at Taverna Plaka a few years back, and since we have a whole crop of new and delightful members joining us, I thought it was a great excuse to plan another gathering. We're once again taking over the place, as I've invited 3 groups and we have well over 40 RSVPs at this point. On Atlanta's list of "must see" places, Taverna Plaka has certainly become a local institution.
With a Greek/Mediterranean menu and handcrafted cocktails, this is one of the few restaurants that embrace "the more, the merrier". The waitstaff dances around the restaurant, napkins are thrown, belly dancers are known to dance on your table (after you're done eating, of course), and once late night hits, it turns into a European-type dance club. People are very friendly, and you never know who you're going to meet.
Even more awesomely, Taverna Plaka is not one of those overpriced places where portions are tiny, and drink specials are nowhere to be found.
Come on out and join the party! I promise you'll be glad you did. However, the venue has been known to run out of seating, so please only RSVP if you're certain you can make it.
See you all there...opa!!!
