Starlight Six Drive-In Movies

NOTE: WE ARE MEETING @ 7:00 @ MC DONALD'S ON MORELAND AVE JUST OFF THE EXIT ON THE WAY TO THE DRIVE IN. PLEASE SEE JENNIFER'S EMAIL.

We had a couple of meetups at the Starlight Six Drive-in theater last summer and had a great time, so it's time for a return visit! Tickets are only $7 each (CASH ONLY) and covers two movies. The gates open at 7:30pm and it is best to be in line before 7:30 to get 1. a good spot, and 2. we can all park next to each other. This will also allow us plenty of time for eating and socializing before the first movie starts at 9:30. Please carpool if you can. Now for the best part: we get to bring our own food and alcohol in! NO glass of any kind is allowed. Each individual attending this meetup will bring something and we will put everything out on a folding table and share it all. Bring extra folding chairs, tables, or ice chests (with ice) if you got 'em!

The movies we'll be seeing are playing on Screen 4: Inception at 9:30pm and then The A-Team at 12:15am. Your Starlight Six hosts,
Jen and Gretchen

Looks like we're covered for grills

I was planning on bringing a full sized propane grille. Since there were several other people bringing grilles, will it be necessary to bring mine. There's logistical issues with bringing the grille and if it won't be needed, I'm not going to bring it.

At this point, all we have to decorate the burgers and hot dogs is ketchup and mustard..... At least they won't be dry, but if anyone can bring relish, pickles, peppers, cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, or anything else you can think of they will be great burgers and hot dogs!

Can we get an address for the MacDonald's for the GPS?

    July 15, 2010

Hey Jen. I reco we meet at the McDonalds at 7:00 and caravan over to the Drive In together. Also we need everyone to confirm attendance and what they're bringing.

Think of this like a cross between a pot luck and tailgaiting. We need folks to step up and sign up to bring goodies. We still need hot dogs and buns, veggie and dip, watermelon, another table, grill... Everyone can byo alcohol and chair

    I'll bring garbage bags

We won't know the movie selections until Thursday. The movie is just a bonus. The best part is the pre-movie festivities. It's like tailgaiting. Also Carpooling is great idea. Cost for movie is per person, not car

Suggestions: watermelon (cut up and cold), veggies and dip, hamburger patties, hot dogs, buns, chips, drinks (coke products of course), beer (cold of course, not glass), wine, dessert, dip, hummus, another grill, folding table for food... Please be kind, if you're not certain you can join then don't sign up what you're bringing and check back right before you decide to go. It would be a bummer for the hamburger person to be a no show...

    Sherryl,
Are you good with bringing ketchup and mustard?

    July 10, 2010

Gretchen has a portable grill that we used in our previous ventures at the drive-in. It's a small one but it gets the job done! We have to be finished grilling before the first movie starts, which is one of Starlight's rules so we aren't disruptive to others around us. Looking forward to it!

I'm coordinating with Jerri to bring burgers and buns. Can y'all volunteer to bring a grill, condiments (ketshup, mustard, mayo) and maybe lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and cheese?
