The 1954 classic directed by Elia Kazan, and starring Marlon Brando, Eva Marie Saint, and Karl Malden.

The film is showing at the Rich Theatre at the High Museum and tickets are $7 ($6 if you are a Member of the Museum).

Film Synopsis: "When a labor boss is killed before he can testify against mobster Johnny Friendly and his control of the waterfront, ex-boxer Terry Malloy (Marlon Brando) is served up as bait in the murder. But Terry is innocent and even the dead labor boss' chaste sister Edie Doyle knows the truth."

For more details and a link to purchase tickets:

I (Rachel) will be outside the theatre until 7:30pm, and then will go inside and find seats. The film starts at 8pm and will last until about 9:45pm. Drinks afterward are an option - there are a couple of walkable places from the Museum.

Similar to other Atlanta Intown Film Buff events, I had a great time watching the movie then getting together with others to talk and meet new folks.

Great film. Marlon Brando did an exceptional job with his character, even if his accent was a little too authentic for me to catch every word. Next time, though, I want to be the one he asks out for a beer!

Great Venue, good movie. Had time to socialize with the other meet up members before and after the movie. The group was very diverse, friendly and inviting. This was the first time I went with this meet up group. I would do it again!
