As the holidays quickly approach, let's open our hearts by providing our hands to work for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. We will be volunteering with The Product Rescue Center to sort and pack food items for local families in need. The atmosphere will be a great opportunity to socialize while serving the community. Limited spaces are available. Please correct & update RSVPs as needed.
This event will require prompt arrival, and you will have to stay the entire time. Please do not RSVP for this event if you cannot meet the requirements. All volunteers are required to stay for the entire shift.
What to Expect:
- This project is not appropriate for those who cannot do moderate lifting (20 lbs) or stand for prolonged periods.
- The project may require sorting of frozen or refrigerated items. Gloves and aprons are provided on site for volunteers as needed.
- NO OPEN TOE SHOES. Closed-toe shoes are required to volunteer. Volunteers without the proper footwear will not be allowed to participate for safety reasons.
- Volunteers who arrive late may not be allowed to participate. An orientation is given first, so please be on time.
